How do your courses work?

Self-Directed Courses: Self-directed courses are available immediately - you don't need to wait for a start date! You can log in and begin learning at a time that suits you, progressing through course at your own pace. You'll have access to a library packed with downloadable resources, and each course contains bonus 'dig deeper' content designed to enrich your learning experience. Throughout the course you can log into your Psychwire account from anywhere at any time and there's no need to be online at a specific time. Certificates will be available for download in My Dashboard after all content has been completed, and for CE Certificates, if all requirements have been met.

Do I need to be online at a specific time?

You don't need to be online at a specific time! You can log in and out at a time that suits you, and learn at your own pace, with 12 months access to all content. Your course includes a variety of engaging learning experiences, including video, audio, and written material, and quizzes to consolidate your knowledge.

What happens if I miss a week or fall behind?

All our courses are self-paced. If you miss a week, or fall behind, don't worry. You can catch up at a time that suits you! You have 12 months to access all course content, including a rich library of bonus material, providing ample time to complete all course material and explore in depth areas that interest you. You can find out when your course access finishes by looking in "My Dashboard." If you are experiencing extenuating circumstances, you may be eligible for a deferral. Who are the courses suitable for?

All our courses are designed for mental health professionals, those who are licensed, interning or studying in the field, both undergraduate and postgraduate. This can include but is not limited to counselors, coaches, therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, GPs, OTs, social and youth workers.

Can I repeat a course?

What equipment do I need to complete a course?

A computer - please note your experience will be better on a computer as our courses are not optimized for mobile at this stage. Internet connection - we recommend updating so you have the latest version of your internet browser. Headphones or speaker to listen to course content. Optional: Specialised PDF viewer such as Adobe. Printer to print any library documents.

Can I defer my course?

If you find yourself falling behind and don't think you'll be able to finish your course, please fill in the form here and we can discuss your options. You can also contact us by the chat icon at the bottom of your screen, or by emailing us support@psychwire.com .

How do I edit my Profile?

Click on "My Dashboard" in the top right of your screen and select “My Profile” from the drop down menu. To edit your name or Profile photo, click on the “Edit” button in grey letters on your screen. To edit your bio information or to add some information about your work, click on the grey pencil to add information about yourself. Once you've made your changes, click on the blue “Save Changes” button.

What certificate/s will I receive?

Each participant who has completed the course in full will be awarded a Certificate of Completion. If you’ve completed at least 75% of the course, you’ll be given a Letter of Participation. CE/CME Certificates will be awarded if the following criteria has been met: 1. You have an overall quiz score of 80%. Quiz questions from the entire course are included in this overall total. Any pre-test quizzes are practice only and are not included in your overall total. You must answer the question correctly within three attempts. 2. The course must be completed in full. 3. Payment of a non-refundable $20 USD processing fee has been made prior to completion of your course. 4. Submission of post-course evaluation form.

How much of my course do I need to complete to earn a certificate?

The certificate you will be awarded is dependent on your course progress. For CE/CME Certificates, you must meet all other requirements, listed below. Certificates are available for download in "My Dashboard." Once they have been processed, you will receive an email letting you know they are ready. You can log in at your convenience and download. What is a CE/CME Credit?

The United States of America and Canada require health professionals to accrue CE/CME (Continuing Education) credits in order to maintain their licenses or registrations. These credits are gained through approved educational activities which serve to develop professional knowledge and performance. CE/CME Credit certificates are submitted to licensing guilds within the U.S.A. and Canada. Please check the Learner Notifications found in the course Frequently Asked Questions for further information about approved state boards.

What are the requirements for CE/CME Credits?

1. The course must be completed in full. 2. Achieve the minimum overall quiz score of 80%. Quiz questions from the entire course are included in this overall total. The pre-test quizzes are practice only and are not included in your overall score. You must answer questions correctly within three attempts. 3. Payment of a non-refundable $20 USD processing fee must be paid before the completion of your course. 4. Submission of a post-course evaluation form. If you're still enrolled in a course and would like CE/CME credits, but have not paid the $20 USD processing fee, please contact us via the chat icon on the bottom right-hand corner of the website or via email at support@psychwire.com . Please note that payment must be made before your course finishes.

How can I obtain CE/CME credits?

Here's how you can obtain CE/Credits for your course: Add CE/CMEs at checkout when enrolling/purchasing a course, or reach out to support@psychwire.com , before your course access ends, to purchase CE/CME credits. Complete your course in full. Achieve an overall quiz score of at least 80% across all quiz questions in your course (any practice quiz questions are not included!). Submit a post-course evaluation form at the end of your course. Please note that we can't add CE/CME credits after your course access has ended. Tell me more about quiz questions and score calculations in your courses

Tell me about the quizzes: Quizzes are found at the end of each week or section in your course. An overall quiz score of 80% or higher is required in order to receive CE/CME credits. All quiz questions in the course are counted towards your overall score, except practice quizzes. We'll let you know if you're taking a practice quiz! Most questions are multiple choice with some true/false. Tell me what happens if I get a question wrong: You have three attempts to answer a multiple choice question correctly. True/False questions have one attempt. If you can't answer the question correctly within these requirements, your answer will be marked as incorrect. * Please note that we cannot offer makeup exams, as per the requirements of our certifying board for CE/CME Credits. How is the overall score calculated? Each weekly or section quiz contributes to your overall score. At the end of the course, your total is calculated. For example, 56 out of 70 equals 80%. An overall quiz score of 80% or higher is required to receive CE/CME credits.

Is this course approved for CPD in Australia?

AHPRA is the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and governs multiple occupations including psychologists, doctors and nurses. The different governing bodies under the AHPRA umbrella have their own specific set of guidelines to be followed by their members, and educational institutions such as Psychwire are not involved in this process. Why are there no courses in My Dashboard?

If you have logged into your Psychwire account and there are no courses displayed in "My Dashboard," please check the following: Are you using the same email address when you enrolled in your course? Your course access is linked to the account used when you purchased or enrolled in your course. If you have logged into your Psychwire account using a different email address, please log out and log in again with the same email address used when registering. I haven’t received an email regarding the start of my course

At midnight PST/PDT on the course commencement date, you will receive a Welcome email with information on how to get started and what to expect in the coming weeks. If you are unable to locate your Welcome email, please check your spam/junk folder as it might have been redirected there. Once your course is available, you can log into "My Dashboard" at any time to access.

How do I enroll after paying?

Check your inbox for a confirmation email from Psychwire. It includes an “Enrollments” button - click the link to log in and complete your enrollment or assign the enrollment to someone else.

Can I enroll someone else after I pay?

Yes! If you’re buying for someone else, you’ll be able to assign the enrollment after payment. You’ll be prompted to enter their details to send an invitation. We'll guide your colleague through the rest of the enrollment process.

What if I didn't enroll after I purchased?

Don’t worry - your confirmation email includes a link to enroll and you can return to it anytime. If you lose the email, just contact our team and we’ll resend it. Contact support via the chat button on the bottom of your screen or email us at support@psychwire.com .

I just paid - why am I not enrolled in the course yet?

After purchasing, you’ll receive an email with a secure link to complete your enrollment. Simply follow that link, log in (or create an account), and your course access will be activated. Do I have to create an account to enroll?

Yes! If you don't already have a Psychwire account, you will need to create one to enroll. You will also use this account to log into 'My Dashboard' and access your course.

What's your refund and cancellation policy?

If you’re unsatisfied or you’re unable to complete the course, we’re able to provide a full refund, providing you let us know within seven days of the course beginning. After this time, if you’re unsatisfied, please contact the customer service team and we’ll work with you directly to resolve your issue. If you’re facing difficult extenuating circumstances, please contact our customer service team as we may be able to defer you to a later intake. If Psychwire Australia PTY LTD has to delay the start date of a course, all registrants will be notified by email and you’ll be given an opportunity to request a refund. If a course is cancelled, participants will be notified by email and full refunds will be given.
